Jean Gagnon is our ancestor who came to Quebec in 1635.

Jean, along with brothers Matherin and Pierre and cousin Robert Gagnon gave the surname to virtually all Gagnons in North America.   Gagnon is one of the most common French names in Canada.

  2. My Husban is a direct to Mathurin Gagnon. Our only problem is to find which line we should follow. It is interesting that the three brothers and one cousin are connected to all of the Gagnons in North America. WOW. We are looking for a Genealogy line to follow to Mathurin Gagnon. Are there any one who is looking for the road to follow. Carole Gagnon.
